Goldendale student named to National Junior Honor Society


Caroline Knopes, daughter of Carmen Knopes and a Goldendale student has been named a 2017 recipient of the National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) Outstanding Achievement Award.

The award is designed specifically for members of NJHS who demonstrate excellence in the five pillars of NJHS: scholarship, service, leadership, character, and citizenship.

Each recipient receives a $500 award, to be placed in a college savings account and managed by OppenheimerFunds (OFI Private Investments) as part of the New Mexico Education Trust Board’s 529 college savings plan.
