Eagles perform well at District meet


Despite the cold day, Glenwood Eagles track and field team members did very well at the District meet here on their home turf last Friday. Athletes had to place in the top three of their event to move on to regionals being held Thursday, May 18, in Peshastin. Kevin Bren placed first in both the 100 and 200 meter races. Nolan Ryan did not qualify for regionals, but set a personal record and placed 5th in the long jump at 14-04.25. He also placed 5th in the triple jump.

On the girls’ side, Brooklyn Emerson placed 2nd in the 100 meters, 3rd in the pole vault with a personal record of 8-0. And 1st in the long jump at 13-06. Kinley Troh placed 3rd in the shot put, 3rd in the discus, and 1st...
