Workers clean the Lyle/Balch cemetery

 


Rakes and clippers sent weeds, pinecones and dust flying as the busy workers cleared the resting place of family member’s gravesites; while others on riding lawnmowers hauled the debris to the dumping grounds at the back of the Lyle/Balch Cemetery. They gathered not only to clean their loved ones resting place but also those of nearby graves of those less fortunate to have family members visit annually.

After the grounds were cleared it was time to recoup and regroup at the potluck and business meeting at the Columbia (Lyle) Grange. As always, it was time to vote for board members and it was unanimous that the current executive board remains in their positions. Why fix it, if it isn...
