Young Eagles polish PRs in state title meet

FLY, EAGLES, FLY: Glenwood freshman Brooklyn Emerson prepares for landing in the Class 1B long jump event on Friday at the state meet in Cheney.

Although the three Glenwood athletes competing over the weekend at the WIAA Track and Field State Championships combined for just half of a team point, each athlete, sophomore Kinley Troh and freshmen Kevan Bren and Brooklyn Emerson picked up some vital experience that should only aide in the growth of their young track and field careers.

Bren, just one of two competitors for the Eagle boys team, made the most of his trip to the state meet by picking up a pair of personal-best finishes in both of his events in the biggest meet of the year.
