Church surveys for answers on religion


A local church is conducting a survey to learn how residents in the area feel about religion. The Columbus Avenue Baptist Church has distributed a letter advising that they will be out with a short questionnaire seeking answers to fundamental questions in a few days.

“It’s our way of getting to know our neighbors,” says Pastor Michael Block. “We want to reach out and learn from each other.”

In its letter, the church cites the Bill of Rights as an indicator of the need to respect differences among all people. “We must learn to listen to each other and learn from each other,” the letter states. “This is one of the reasons that we have the First Amendment to the Constitution...
