Fourteen teams and 71 total golfers were on hand Saturday for the 15th annual Goldendale Kiwanis Golf for Kids Tournament, and although nobody was able to win a new car, it was still a good day of golfing while raising money for Goldendale's kids.

It was a scorching hot day at the course over the weekend, but the combined six-person team of Ted Wilkins, Mark Heid, Rich Holycross, Jeff Fields, Tom Bare and Billy Rolff were hotter.

The team topped the standings Saturday with an 18-hole total of 58 while playing a best ball scramble format.
