NEW HEAD OF Gorge's LARGEST EMPLOYER: Dennis Knox has been announced as CEO of Mid-Columbia Medical Center (MCMC) in The Dalles.

MCMC announces new CEO

Dianne Storby, Interim President and CEO for Mid-Columbia Medical Center, has announced Dennis Knox joined the leadership team as President and CEO on May 24, 2017, bringing with him Interim CFO Edwin Bode.

"Dennis Knox brings a wealth of leadership experience as a health care administrator focused on patient care and the patient experience," Storby said. "His demonstrated expertise and success in health care leadership will be an invaluable asset as we carry out our mission of providing patient-centered care to the communities we serve."

A Texas native, Knox comes to MCMC with more than 35 years of experience improving and expanding healthcare programs. His previous experience includes Memorial Hermann Health System in Houston, Texas.

He also served as CEO at Antelope Valley Hospital, a 420-bed acute care safety net hospital in Lancaster, California, and Universal Health Services in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania where he served as CEO and managing director. Knox holds a Bachelor of Arts in Management Science from Duke University, where he also earned a Master's Degree in Health Care Administration.

Interim CFO Edwin Bode was recruited by Knox to join MCMC from Urgent Point in Los Angeles, California. Bode was previously CFO of Vista Health System in the greater Chicago area and CFO of Saint Francis Healthcare in the greater Memphis area.
