Ticks toxic and tweezer resistent

 


Local doctors are on alert following the death of a woman who contracted a rare, incurable tick-borne illness supporting predictions that this would be the worst summer ever for tick-related diseases.

The CDC confirmed the Missouri woman died from what is known as the Bourbon Virus. Her death coupled with the rising number of Lyme Disease cases has families worried about spending time outside this summer.
