GETTING READY: Workers on the Collins Street side of KVH are constructing the hospital's physical therapy center, set to open in the fall. In the first half of 2017, KVH saw 626 new patients, a record for the hospital.

Klickitat Valley Health (KVH) set a record last month. Over the first half of 2017, the hospital saw 626 new patients-the greatest new-patient increase in a six-month time frame in its history. The trend reflects a sharp increase of patients at the hospital's family care facility, with a corresponding rise in ancillary care within the halls of the hospital.

"Patients are using our MRI [Magnetic Resonance Imaging] more now, too," says KVH CEO Leslie Hiebert. "The mobile MRI unit is now here eight days a month." The unit pulls up to the hospital every Monday and Wednesday; in June the hospital did 54 MRIs, also a new record for KVH.

Come fall the MRI mobile unit will be setting up shop next...
