Timberwolves soccer plays back-to-back tough games with Naches, White Salmon

The Goldendale soccer team didn't come away with a win during last Thursday's South Central Athletic Conference match against Naches, but it was one of the closer and more competitive games they've played the past few years despite the 8-2 final.

Facing the Rangers at home, the Timberwolves wasted little time getting on the scoreboard after senior Lene Riggers gave the home team its first lead this season early into Thursday's game.

Shortly after an offsides penalty took away a Naches goal, Riggers fired a shot into the upper right corner of the net 11 minutes in to put the Timberwolves ahead 1-0 early.
