After last Tuesday's thrilling five-set win over Granger, the Goldendale spikers were a long way from home for a jam-packed day of volleyball during Saturday's Sheridan Volleyball Classic in Spokane.

Formerly known as the Crossover Classic, it is the largest high school tournament on the west coast with 64 teams and four states represented.

The Timberwolves, who got to Spokane about 9:30 p.m. Friday night, jumped right into action Saturday morning at 8 a.m. and played 16 total sets before their last game concluded around 6 p.m.

Each match in pool play was a best-two-out-of-three scenario with Goldendale winning one of five matches before advancing to pool play....
