Goldendale football set for Homecoming matchup with undefeated Granger

The Goldendale Timberwolves weren't able to pick up their first win on the gridiron this season, but the team did have its best air attack of the season during last Friday's 27-0 loss to La Salle at Marquette Stadium.

Senior quarterback Alex Mains returned to play the full game under center after his reps were limited last week against Naches, and had a great relationship with senior receiver Justin Wells on Friday.

Wells caught 10 passes for 135 yards on Friday as the favorite target of Mains, who completed 13 of 25 attempts for 180 yards.

"It really started to open things up," Goldendale head coach Alan Hale said of the passing game. "It was a huge help having Alex for the whole game...
