Goldendale football struggles in second half after strong first in loss at Cle Elum

Goldendale head football coach Alan Hale was very pleased with how the Timberwolves began last Friday's South Central Athletic Conference matchup with Cle Elum.

However, in Goldendale's 26-14 loss to the Warriors, it was a game full of momentum with the Timberwolves dominating in the first half with the Warriors owning the second half.

Goldendale ran out to a 14-0 first-half lead, but was outscored 26-0 by the Warriors over the final 24 minutes.

A big reason for the shift in momentum after halftime was the loss of senior quarterback Alex Mains.
