Goldendale falls to River View in last gridiron contest

The Timberwolves fell on the gridiron 44-20 to the River View Panthers during last Friday's South Central Athletic Conference district crossover game, but finished the season with some momentum as they head for the offseason.

Banged up and only playing with 22 kids, the Goldendale coaching staff handed off the reigns to many of the underclassmen who didn't see a lot of the field this year.

"We decided as a staff to commit to more playing time no matter what to some of the younger kids because they've earned it," Hale said. "Last game of the year, let's just commit to these kids and see what happens. And they stepped up. They did a really good job. I'm proud of them."
