Pirates return to the court with lots of fresh faces

The Bickleton Pirates boys basketball team tips off its season on Friday with a home contest against Yakima's Riverside Christian, but the team will look a little different than it has in previous years.

The Pirates graduated four talented seniors from last year's team, Joseph Cummings, Rhys Chapman, Kyle Underwood, and Riley Brown, leaving a lot of production the team will have to pick up this year. The Pirates also lost Cody Allenton, a junior on last year's team that transferred schools.

However, with all the losses, second year Bickleton head coach Bill Daley still is confident that this year's group will be able to pick up the slack.
