Annual community Christmas concert comming

December 6, 2017

Get into the holiday season with the annual Community Christmas Concert Dec. 11 at 7 p.m. at Goldendale High School located at 525 E Simcoe Dr. in Goldendale.

This annual event will showcase the high school and middle school choirs and also choirs from local church groups including the Goldendale Methodist Church’s Christmas cantata choir. There is a shift this year in the kind of groups allowed to perform; where before soloists and small groups were accommodated, this year marks a new direction in allowing only choral ensembles.

Performances by the Goldendale Latter Day Saints (LDS) choir, the Grace Brethren choir, and the Goldendale United Methodist Christmas Cantata group will be singing a variation of Christmas Carols, some religious and some secular.

“We will have a little bit of everything,” Band Director Danny Scheinder says. “It’s a chance for the whole community to come together and enjoy some really great music.”

The Community Christmas concert is free to the public
