Michael Ray Phillips

Michael Ray Phillips passed away on Feb. 21, 2018, at Providence Hospital in Hood River, Oregon, from liver failure. He was 68 years old.
Michael was born on Oct. 26, 1949, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to James Phillips and Novella Case. Michael lived in Idaho for most of his life. There he met and married the love of his life, Robin Thompson. They had three children: Jennifer, Jessica, and Michael.
The family lived in Idaho until moving to Washington in 1985 and finally settling in Goldendale in February 1991.
Michael was a jack-of-all-trades and loved being a mechanic. He was a family man who would do anything for them. He was known to many as “One-Arm Mike.”
Michael is preceded in death by both of his parents, stepdad, two brothers, son-in-law, and one grandson.
He is survived by his wife; three children; 12 grandchildren; six brothers; three sisters; stepmom; and many nieces, nephews, adopted kids, and grandkids.
A celebration of life was held Sunday, Feb. 25, 2018 at the Grange Hall in Goldendale. His family wants to thank everyone in the community who attended and helped by providing meals and drinks in our time of need.
