March 24, 1894

The dam at Weld’s planning mill broke last Thursday night and the rush of the imprisoned water washed out the lower dam and made a large gap in the ditch that supplies the city of Goldendale. The damage was repaired with all the haste possible, and pumping was resumed by Saturday night. Subsequently the ditch broke a second time on account of the soft condition of the mud which it is repaired.

March 18, 1905

Mr. Latham, the flouring mill man of Cleveland, has offered to move his establishment to Bickleton providing the citizens of our town will give him a mill site and $700. This proposition was made Wednesday afternoon, and before night George McCredy and Charles Flowe...
