March 24, 1894

Last Saturday 28 acres of land, comprising the upper meadow of Goldendale, south of Broadway street, was sold at sheriff’s sale for $112.00 or $4.00 an acre. The land subject to a mortgage of $450.00, but is really worth from $75.00 to $100.00 an acre. The purchaser is N.B. Brooks.

March 11, 1915

The Ledbetter-Wallace Store is having a decided change made in the front of the building, regarding appearance, although the alteration itself is small. The old awning will be replaced by another, which will be attached to the building immediately above the large display windows, leaving the upper windows open to the light.
