RAINBOWS OUT EAST: Brandi Vance and Ray Chatwin went to Maryland and Connecticut recently.

Brandi Vance, Jurisdictional Representative to Maryland and Ray Chatwin, Jurisdictional Representative to Connecticut in Washington/Idaho International Order of Rainbow for Girls returned from a trip to their respective state's Grand Assembly on March 14-19.

Both young ladies are members of the Golden Phoenix Assembly #158 in Goldendale and were selected last July to these honors. Since that time, they raised money to travel to their respective states to represent Washington and Idaho. They corresponded with their counterparts prior to going, establishing some great friendships. They learned the differences each state has from our states and the similarities. Each young lady was introduced and presented a speech while in their designated state. They experienced several types of transportation besides flying. They encountered metro, subways, buses, and cabs. Each girl was accompanied by her mother on this trip. They did have some time for touring in Baltimore and Hunt Valley, Maryland; Cromwell, Connecticut; and New York City.

Each of the girls will be expected to provide a presentation as to their travel experience July 11- 13 in Yakima at the 2018 Grand Assembly for the Grand Jurisdiction of Washington/Idaho, International Order of Rainbow for Girls.
