Frederick James Adams

 

Frederick James Adams, age 65, of The Dalles, Oregon, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family and close friends on March 25, 2018, after a short battle with lung cancer.

Fred was born May 2, 1952, in The Dalles to Rober t and Dordena Adams (Sheridan). He was their only child and was raised in Wishram. He graduated from high school in 1970. He attended Yakima Community College and then took a job working for Martin Marietta Aluminum Company in Goldendale until the early 2000's. He was employed for G4S Secure Solutions as a security guard in The Dalles at the time of his death.

During his years at the aluminum company, he purchased property in Dallesport. He married Linda Richardson (Hrigora). He is survived by his sons, Jerrad, (Brandi) and their sons, Gavin and Reid of Beaverton, Oregon; Brenton, (Jerilee) and their children, Owen and Briar, of Dallesport; and many cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Dordena Adams. Fred was a big sports enthusiast, beginning in high school, playing in adult leagues, attending pro-games and watching his beloved Seahawks on TV. He had many hobbies, including; fishing, golfing, but most of all spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed serving Community Meals, especially during the holidays. He will be remembered by all for his kindness and lighthearted humor.

Services will be held Saturday, April 7, at 1 p.m. at St. Peters Catholic Church. Please, no flowers. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Meals on Wheels, 1112 W. 9th St., The Dalles, or Joubert Syndrome Foundation, jsrdf.org
