HG&S Show will be a hit

April 11, 2018

The events are starting to hit us in Goldendale, so there is no time to be bored. The Goldendale Home, Garden & Sportsmans Show is always a big hit. The hours are Friday, April 27, from noon to 6 p.m .; Saturday, April 28, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m .; and Sunday, April 29, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Klickitat County Fairgrounds. There is free parking and free admission. Remember, the first day of the show does not open until Friday April 27 at noon. For information, call the Goldendale Chamber at 773-3400 or email at

The City of Goldendale will not be offering the one free curb side pick-up of garbage. But brush-only pick-up is available for seniors and disabled persons. You must contact Klickitat County Senior Services at 773-3757 by Thursday, April 19 to sign up for the free curbside pick-up of brush only, which does not include bagged leaves. Up to 4"x10' long brush will be picked up on Monday, April 23.

Coming soon, on May 11-12, will be the 23rd Annual Klickitat Valley Fire Victims Fund, Live, and Silent Auction, plus yard sale. The yard sale will be held Friday, May 11 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. On Saturday, May 12, the silent auction will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The live auction and yard sale will also be open on Saturday, May 12, at 8:30 a.m. to check out the great auction items, with the auction beginning at 10 a.m. Come support the fire victims in the Goldendale, Rural 7, and Centerville fire districts! You will find food vendors on site and lots of fun and treasures. They accept cash, checks, and credit cards. They are in need of volunteers to help set up the yard sale/auction and take it down. Also still needed are donations for the live or silent auctions. You can take them to Rural 7 at 327 W. Brooks or call for it to be picked up at 773 4246, and please leave a message with your address and phone number.
