April 2, 1920

A few days ago, the students in the high school at Lyle, or a large number of them, “struck,” because the teachers and superintendent would not permit dancing in the school building. These students, we understand, have been suspended for the time being. The respect for authority is a lesson that ought to be learned before high school age, and this Lyle affair, fortunately the only case of the kind to occur in Klickitat, is to be regretted.
