A Celebration of Motherhood in scripture and in life


When I was a boy, research was accomplished by looking in an encyclopedia. So, to learn about Mother’s Day we would look it up. In our house, Encyclopedia Britannica was the option. Here is what I found: “Mother’s Day is celebrated the second Sunday of May to honor all Mothers.” “It was instituted in the United States in 1907 and was recognized by Congress in 1914.” “It is observed in the USA and is extended elsewhere.” Not a lot of information.

Today I have the internet at my fingertips. I can open my computer and do a search—and find 360,000,000 items on the net. There is much more information than the paragraph in my old encyclopedia. I know that there will be both re...
