it's Dome's-day at the pool



NOW YOU SEE IT, NOW YOU DON'T: Taking down the dome on the Parks and Rec Goldendale pool is a major undertaking. Saturday a team of well-coordinated people took the task on in preparation for summer use.

The dome is off, the garden plots are ready to rent, the lawn is mowed, the flowerbeds are weeded, and the Central Klickitat County Park and Recreation District is ready for summer.

Thanks to the help of students from FFA, TSA, and other school groups, the pool cover was taken down and put into storage on Saturday. Most pool patrons are looking forward to swimming in the sunshine.

"It's always exciting to take the dome down. It really feels like the start of summer when we have an outdoor pool again," said pool manager Lori Anderson.
