Mosbrucker going to Harvard
June 6, 2018
Rep. Gina Mosbrucker (R-Goldendale) is headed to Harvard University next month.
Mosbrucker will attend the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. The school is giving Mosbrucker a full scholarship, which includes the tuition of $16,100 plus a temporary residence for Mosbrucker in Washington, D.C., for her short stay. The Washington House of Representatives also paid $1,000 to secure Mosbrucker's place in the school because she is representing Washington State as an attendee.
Mosbrucker was sponsored to attend the class by former State Senator Larry Faulk and Republican House of Representatives Leader J.T. Wilcox.
The Kennedy School class Mosbrucker will attend is called "Senior Executives in State and Local Government." The prestigious program aims to enhance the skills of government officials in a number of areas. "Using the case method pioneered at Harvard, participants in Senior Executives in State and Local Government will analyze and discuss real-life situations selected to provoke insight into a wide array of strategic management and leadership issues," the program states. "The objective is to get you to think through problem-solving methods and possible solutions. In the last two weeks of the program, you and fellow participants will discuss actual challenges in your own organizations. This activity serves to bridge the gap between conceptual learning and actual experiences."
