County continues rapid job growth


While employment growth in Washington state has slowed slightly over the past year, it climbed to second in the nation in job creation over the past year, while Oregon came in at number 9. The West continued to dominate the top ten, with Utah first, Idaho third, Nevada fifth, Colorado sixth, and Arizona seventh.

State of Washington Job creation in April was revised upward to +8,200 jobs, while May preliminary was even better at +8,500 jobs. Over-the-year job growth remained strong at 2.7 percent (+90,100 jobs).
