County to change hiring process

On Aug. 1 Klickitat County will move its job application process to a website powered by NeoGov, a web-based software site that specializes in posting and gathering applications for government employment opportunities. Moving to the website will streamline the application process by sending paperless applications immediately to supervisors and Human Resources. The supervisors can develop supplemental questionnaire, communicate interview schedules, sort by qualifications, and contact candidates directly with questions or updates on the process.

Candidates interested in applying for Klickitat County job openings will now submit their application through the governmentjobs.com posted website link or connect through the Klickitat County website. On the governmentjobs.com website people develop their own user identification, create profiles, cover letters, resumes and references which can be used for multiple government open positions.

Interested candidates submit applications online. A kiosk has been set up in the Klickitat County Human Resources Office, and candidates can also access the website at the public libraries to complete their applications and supplemental information. Paper applications will no longer be accepted after Aug. 1.

We will continue to rely on newspaper notices, county websites, and other popular websites to ensure the public is aware of any employment opportunities.

If you have any questions, contact Klickitat County Human Resources Department at 773-7171 or at hr@klickitatcounty.org.
