School board in superintendent search


Following the resignation of Superintendent/Principal Andrew Kelly on June 13, the Lyle Community Schools Board of Directors have been moving forward to find new leadership for the district.

At a special board meeting June 15, the board appointed long-time fourth-grade teacher Lori Smith as the new school principal. Smith recently earned her administrator credentials and is already digging in to the multiple decisions and actions that need to take place over the summer in preparation for the coming school year.
