Child Support Awareness Month is when the Washington Department of Social and Health Services reminds all parents that children thrive when family members meet their emotional and financial needs. The DSHS Division of Child Support can help parents build a strong foundation for raising happy, healthy children and helping them to reach their full potential.
Each year, DSHS serves approximately 380,000 children in Washington state and across the nation, ensuring they have the financial care they need by collecting more than $670 million a year in child support.
