Centurylink line cut, 911 temporarily out

At around noon today (Sept. 6), the Klickitat County Department of Emergency Management (KCDEM) posted on their Facebook page that all phone lines into the department’s 911 dispatch were down. That message also went out through their reverse 911 system in phone calls and texts.

The KCDEM noted that all 911 calls were being diverted to the Skamania County Emergency Management System, who would then transfer calls to the correct center. The KCDEM urged those that are unable to dial 911 to go to the nearest fire station for assistance.
