DOJ announces $70 million for school safety

Joseph H. Harrington, United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Washington, joined the Department of Justice in announcing more than $70 million in grant funding to bolster school security, educate and train students and faculty, and support law enforcement officers and first responders who arrive on the scene of a school violence incident, including $150,000 to fund the Ellensburg School District and $49,750 to fund the Northeast Washington Educational Service District 101 in the Eastern District of Washington.
