Timmerman revisited

Here is a short story sent in to me by Jessica Wilson, as she was so interested in this story. I know that the old timers already know the Timmerman story, but the newcomers may enjoy it.

On April 6,1888 Jochin Henry Timmerman was executed in Goldendale for the murder of William Sterling. The two men were traveling together home from a job in Walla Walla. Sterling’s wife reported her husband missing when he had not arrived 10 days later. On Oct. 20, 1886, a man by the name of George Kintzley discovered the body of Sterling in Horse Heaven Hills. After nearly a year, Timmerman’s case went to trial in Goldendale on Oct. 25,1887. Timmerman was convicted of first-degree murder and sentenc...
