LIFT OF BURN BAN

WHEREAS, the Board of Fire Commissioners meeting in regular session and having before it, the need to establish the lifting of the burn ban and issuing burn permits for 2018 within Klickitat County Rural 7 Fire and Rescue boundaries; AND

WHEREAS, RCW 52.12.101 grants to the Commissioners the authority of issuing burn permits; AND

WHEREAS, the fire commissioners of Klickitat County Rural 7 hereby assume the authority of issuing burn permits pursuant to RCW 52.12.101; AND

WHEREAS, the fire commissioners of Klickitat County Rural 7 hereby direct this resolution to be published in a paper within the county of general circulation for two consecutive weeks; AND

WHEREAS, the fire commissioners of Klickitat County Rural 7 hereby direct notice of this resolution to be posted in three prominent places throughout the district.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Fire Commissioners of Klickitat County Rural 7 Fire and Rescue hereby will begin issuing burn permits under the following conditions as required by law effective 12:01am October 13th, 2018.

CITY OF GOLDENDALE

REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS

TOURISM INFORMATION AND PROMOTION SERVICES

The City of Goldendale is requesting proposals from individuals or organizations that wish to enter into a contract or agreement with the City for tourism information and promotion services. The selected applicant(s) will provide services or products for the benefit of the Tourism industry in Goldendale.

The City of Goldendale is expected to appropriate about $50,000 for tourism information and promotion services for the fiscal year 2019, from Lodging Tax revenues.

Each proposal submitted will be considered by the Event Committee which, in turn, will make a recommendation to the City Council for final decision.

OPEN HOUSE for the Wahkiacus Bridge Rehabilitation Project.

The project is located at the intersection SR 142 and Horseshoe Bend Road on the Wahkiacus Bridge over the Klickitat River.

Klickitat County will be holding an informal open house where you can learn more about the project. Staff will be available to answer your questions about this project, detours and the proposed construction schedule. There will not be a formal presentation.

Visitors may drop by anytime between 6:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

PUBLIC NOTICE

The Klickitat County Board of Health will hold a regular meeting on October 23rd at 9:00 AM in the commissioners Hearing Room at the Goldendale courthouse. During this meeting there will be a presentation on early childhood lead testing and the Reach Out and Read program.
