Statewide committee seeks members

A statewide citizens committee that provides guidance on pipeline safety in Washington is recruiting additional members.

The governor is currently soliciting applications to fill three membership vacancies to serve on the Washington Citizens Committee on Pipeline Safety. The vacant positions are open to the general public. The applicant must reside in Washington state. Previous pipeline experience is not necessary.

The Legislature created the committee in 2000 to provide citizen input on matters relating to the safety of pipelines carrying natural gas, petroleum, and aviation fuel.
