Linda Lucille Briggs from Roosevelt, Washington, died at home surrounded by family on Oct. 27, 2018 after a long illness. She was born on Sept. 7, 1952 in Pasco, Washington. She graduated from Camas High School in 1970 and attended Central Washington University. She married Wayne Briggs in February of 1980 and helped raise his son and daughter along with her three sons. She was preceded in death by her father, John Whitten. She is survived by her mother, Barbara Whitten; her husband, Wayne; three sons: Brady Riggs, Jr. (Jessica), Jim Allen Riggs (Lisa), Deborah Briggs; brothers: Charles, Ronald, Edward, and Richard Whitten; sister: Adella Whitten; 10 grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Special friends: Gail Hutchins, Valerie Campbell, Michelle Stanley, Dean and Shawn Mitchell.

She drove truck for 35+ years and retired in Roosevelt. She was the City of Roosevelt Treasurer and a volunteer fire fighter. She was involved with the American Legion, Sons and Daughters of American Legion in Goldendale. She was a member of the American Ladies Auxillary for 24 years. She loved spending time with friends, hunting, fishing, and camping—often in Long Beach, Seaside and Astoria.
