Former GHS runner Dillon Rising helps college team to conference title

Just two days after both Goldendale teams qualified for state at the district meet back on Oct. 25, 2018 Goldendale graduate Dillon Rising helped the George Fox cross country team to a share of its first-ever conference title with a strong performance in Estacada, Oregon.

Rising, a freshman for the Bruins, cruised to a seventh place mark in the 63-person boys eight-kilometer (4.97 mile) run and was the first George Fox runner to cross the finish.

The Bruins, from Newberg, Oregon, which compete in the nine-team Northwest Conference along with teams like Pacific Lutheran, Puget Sound, and Whitworth.
