Goldendale drops final football game to Wapato

Traveling to the valley for their last game of the season, the Timberwolves had a tough time defending against the big plays on the gridiron, falling 41-6 to the Class 2A Wapato Wolves last Friday.

Instead of matching up with the South Central Athletic Conference East school which finished in the same spot of the standings as the West side school – which would have been River View – Goldendale instead took the field against Wapato, which finished the regular season at 1-8 overall with an early season win (18-15) over Highland.

However, the Wolves of Wapato, led by some strong senior performances, cruised past Goldendale with four first-half touchdowns while limiting Goldendale's off...
