Black Friday marks start of extra DUI patrols

The Washington State Patrol (WSP) is warning drivers not to let Black Friday bring them a black mark on their driving record.

Beginning this Friday, WSP and multiple other police agencies will kick off the annual holiday season DUI Emphasis patrols. As of Oct. 31 this year, already there have been 224 number of people killed in collisions investigated by WSP. Impairment from alcohol and/or drugs is believed to be a factor in many of these life taking collisions.
