• Baby Storytime: Pre-Walkers. 11:00 am - 12:00 pm. Goldendale Community Library, 131 W. Burgen Street, Goldendale. Introduce your baby to words and reading with books, songs, and play for babies and their parents or caregivers. This is one-on-one storytime geared specifically for pre-walking babies and their caregivers. Siblings are welcome as long as they are engaged in the baby storytime or will be supervised by another adult in a separate area.

• State of Liberty Seminar. 7pm-9pm at the Goldendale Library Camplan room, 131 W. Burgen Street, Goldendale. There is a movement to divide the counties of Washington into two separate states of western Washington and the 51st state to be named Liberty. Including a video presentation “The Future of Liberty” Featuring Washington State Representative Matt Shea. Question and answer period to follow after the video. • Christmas Decoration judging. Judging of homes and businesses, leave your lights on until 10 pm. everyone with lights on within city limits are going to be judged. Have fun, decorate your Homes and businesses with many lights and the town’s Candy Cane theme! Remember the more lights, the better, let’s light up Goldendale.

• Candy Cane Lane Christmas Parade. The parade kicks off at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 8th, followed by pictures with Santa, Soup, and Hot Chocolate at the Masonic Lodge. There is no cost to enter the parade. However, we are always willing to accept donations to help cover the expense of awards, ribbons, trophies, and advertising. • Blue Christmas Service on Friday, at the United Methodist Church at 7 p.m. a quiet reflective service for those who have been struggling with loss during the holiday season. There will be an opportunity to remember and light candles to honor those loved ones we are missing this Christmas season.

Dec. 24 & 25

• All Klickitat County offices will be closed on Monday, December 24th, Christmas Eve, as an employee appreciation day, and on Tuesday, December 25th in observance of the Christmas Holiday

• Community Christmas Meals. There will be a special meal on December 26, Boxing Day, offered by the Lewis Family and the Greek Orthodox Church at 5:30 p.m. at the United Methodist Church, 109 E Broadway St, Goldendale, WA 98620.
