Kids Jam on the way

December 5, 2018

High school and middle school basketball is in full swing. The high school boys will play the Goldendale C team at Klickitat on Thursday, Dec. 6, at 6 p.m. On Friday, Dec. 7, and Saturday, Dec. 8, both the boys and girls teams will play in Arlington, beginning at 3 p.m. both days.

The middle school teams will play in Trout Lake on Thursday, Dec. 6, at 5:30 p.m. and in Glenwood on Tuesday, Dec. 10, also at 5:30 p.m.

The next Kids Jam at the church, for kindergarten through sixth grade, will be Friday, Dec. 7, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. The children will be fed dinner at the church, then have a fun-filled evening of bible learning, singing, crafts, and games. Call the church at (509) 364-3517 if you have any questions.

Mark your calendars for Christmas Eve service at the church on Dec. 24, at 7 p.m. All are invited for a special time of reflection about the real reason for celebrating Christmas.

Doug Daniels reports we received 3.17 inches of rain in November. The December high for the past 23 years of record keeping was 12.06 inches in 2006. The December low over the last 23 years was just 0.7 inches in 2004. The 23-year December average is 4.78 inches. We’re still a bit below average, so let’s hope for a lot of rain or snow in December. We need it. Thank you, Doug, for providing this useful data.
