Young Pirates finding way early this season, fall in close contest to Touchet

The Bickleton Pirates dropped their opening two games during the first weekend of the new basketball season, but third-year Pirate head coach Bill Daley really liked how his team bounced back Saturday against Prescott after a rough Friday outing against Riverside Christian.

The Pirates fell 62-33 in Friday's season opener at Riverside Christian, but turned in a much improved teamwide effort in Saturday's home-opening 70-53 loss to Prescott.

"We did much better on night two than night one in Riverside," Daley said. "I was really proud of our resiliency over the weekend."

The Pirates, on Friday against the Crusaders, struggled moving the ball and dealing with the Riverside Christian press...
