The weather was cold at 29 degrees with a light blanket of snow during this year’s Candy Cane Lane Parade. Locals gathered to see 19 entrants, with a few new names and more floats this year. Grand Marshalls were the Throop family from Glenwood, who are family of Jaime Espinosa, a long-time Brighter Goldendale Committee member who has passed.

If you have been seeing low-flying helicopters this week, it is the Fish and Wildlife doing their deer surveys from Dec. 10-14. They will be flying east of the Klickitat River.
