December 2, 1920 – 98 years ago

Klickitat County is getting to be right up to snuff. You don’t have to go to California to experience an earthquake. We have them right here at home, although we cannot promise them frequently. Sunday morning about 3:30, a quake was experience that awakened many in this vicinity, and at the river. Dishes rattled, electric light cords shook, one instance of plaster falling, and enough similar evidence is at hand to certify genuineness of the shock. Two distinct shocks were experienced both being quite mild.
