Notice to Contractors

Sealed bids for the Wahkiacus Bridge Repair, CRP 272 will be received by the Board of County Commissioners at the reception desk located in the Klickitat County Public Works Department, 115 South Golden, Goldendale Washington. Mailing address 228 W. Main MS-Ch-19, Goldendale Washington 98620 until 1:15 p.m. on December 18, 2018 for performing the work described below. Sealed bids received will be opened at the Commissioner’s Chambers and publicly read aloud on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. or shortly thereafter. Bids received after 1:15 p.m. December 18, 2018 will not be considered. The county reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and to waive informalities that are not, in the opinion of the County Commissioners, material.

Bid envelopes shall be appropriately marked on the outside “Bid opening 1:30 p.m. December 18, 2018 Wahkiacus Bridge Repair, CRP 272”.

This Contract provides for the improvement of the Wahkiacus Bridge (No. 202) on Horseshoe Bend Road (MP 0.03) by the replacement of bridge rail and guard rails, repair of the bridge deck, installation of an epoxy overlay, and installation of abutment shafts and other work, all in accordance with the Contract Plans, Contract Provisions, and the Standard Specifications.

Bid proposals shall be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit in cash, certified check, cashier’s check or surety bond in the amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount in the bid proposal. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish satisfactory performance bond within the time stated in the specifications, the bid proposal deposit shall be forfeited to Klickitat County.

Approximate project cost is estimated to be between $800,000 and $1,200,000.

Central Klickitat Conservation District and Eastern Klickitat Conservation District will be adopting supervisor election resolutions at their December board meetings. Each resolution will establish the date, time, and location for the election, name which supervisors’ positions are expiring, and appoint an election supervisor. NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Klickitat County Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing relating to proposed Short Plat Vacation, SPL 2015-02V. The applicant proposes to vacate this short plat in its entirety. The four lots of the Hodge Family Trust short plat will be combined to create one large parcel of 7.32 acres. The property was rezoned from Tourist Commercial to Industrial Park on July 17, 2018 under Ordinance #0071718-1. The short plat vacation is a condition of approval for the rezone. The short plat is located on Lots 1-4, SPL 2015-02 in the SE ¼ of the NE ¼ of Section 27, T2N, R13E, W.M., Klickitat County, WA in the Dallesport vicinity. The hearing will take place on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at 1:30 P.M. in the Commissioner’s Chambers, 205 South Columbus, Room 103, Goldendale, WA 98620.

THE PURPOSE of said hearing is to take testimony on the proposed short plat vacation. Written comments must be submitted by 5:00 P.M. on December 21, 2018 to the Klickitat County Planning Department to be forwarded to the Commissioners before the hearing.

The Board of County Commissioners may approve, deny, approve with conditions, table or take no action, or continue the matter to a set time and place.
