2019 city budget approved

Goldendale City Councilors approved a modest budget for 2019 and a couple of housekeeping measures at their final meeting of the year Monday night.
Budget Committee members proposed some adjustments at their meeting last week which were approved by the full council as part of the budget. The largest was $200,000 for the South Columbus overlay project, though the city match is only $20,000, with $180,000 coming as a grant from the Transportation Investment Board. Another item entered was $57,000 for a broadband study, funded by a $50,000 CERB grant and $17,000 from Klickitat County.
