Mosbrucker elected to party leadership

Rep. Gina Mosbrucker has been elected to share the second-highest position in Republic leadership in the Washington State Legislature. This comes as the former chair of the caucus, Rep. Matt Shea, has been replaced after controversy erupted over his writing of a document that critics say painted him as a warmongering religious fundamentalist. (Shea says his comments were taken wildly out of context.)

Mosbrucker, R-Goldendale, was elected as vice-chair of the Washington State House Republican Caucus and says she’s ready to get to work when the Legislature convenes Jan. 14 in Olympia.
