Good day for the Plunge

The weather was fairly mild for the 12th Annual Polar Plunge on Jan. 1. If you consider that the air temperature of 35 and water temperature of 41 is always cold, then, with no precipitation or wind, it was a good day for a plunge. And for the first time, there was a bonfire on the beach, which was a very warm attraction. Thanks to the Central Klickitat Parks and Rec for hosting this event and the Washington State Parks for co-hosting. Some went in the water only up to their ankles, their knees or their hips, but there were those who experienced the ultimate plunge. Around 30 people actually plunged, but 45 people donated money to the cause. The $600 that was raised goes towards scholarsh...
