Measles case confirmed in The Dalles

If you were at the Fred Meyer store or the Discovery Center in The Dalles late last month, you may have been exposed to measles.

On Jan. 3, public health authorities received confirmation of a case of measles in a person who was infectious and spent time in The Dalles and Hood River between Dec. 26 and Dec. 31. At the time of this release, no additional cases of measles have been identified.

The individual was seen Wednesday, Jan. 2, at a hospital in the Portland area, and measles was confirmed as the diagnosis on Jan. 3. Local public health agencies are actively monitoring the case.
