January 16, 2019

Carol Ann Foss entered heaven on Jan. 6, 2019.

Born to Adrian and Sadie Breen in Everett, Washington, on Oct. 30,1938, Carol knew Jesus at a young age and expressed God’s love through music and relationships throughout her whole life. After high school, Carol earned her nursing diploma from Tacoma General Hospital School of Nursing in 1959. While there, Carol met and married her husband, Carl. Working as an RN at Tacoma General Hospital over the next 20 years, Carol also played the organ, piano, and directed choir at Tacoma Christian Reformed Church, all while raising five children. In 1980, Carol retired from nursing to work as Music Teacher and then Music Secretary at Life Christian School and Life Center Church. Retiring in 2005, Carol moved to Goldendale to be near her youngest grandchildren. There she continued her music ministry with piano lessons, choir, hand bells, and publishing flute and piano arrangements. Carol returned to Tacoma in 2013. For the last 15 months she lived in Lacey, Washington, at Joshua’s House Memory Care Home, where she received the same special kind of love and attention that she poured out to so many others during her life. She will be missed greatly by all of her family, friends, colleagues, and caregivers.

Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Carl, and her sister Aileen. Carol is survived by her sister Ruth; children Randy, Patti (Tim), David (Cindy), Sharon (Kevin), and Dan (Elizabeth); DIL Lisa (Tim); grandchildren Brittani (Ian), Haley (Nick), Daniel (Jeimy), Sabrina (Nick), Lacey (Brandon), Deedra (Steven), Tori, Joel (Nicolle), Andrew, and Luke; great grandchildren Lily, London, Ryker, Liliann, Liam, Steven Jr., Danielle, and Brooks.
